Adam'S Canal House - Amsterdam

We had a such great stay for our first visit to Amsterdam.

All good - we appreciated this small hotel - the food was good and the staff were extremely great and very obliging. The location was marvellous and an underground station was right next to the property. You could walk to shops and a supermarket.

It has knowledgeable staff and good facilities. You can have pancakes and eggs for breakfast.

I loved how I could walk to the famous Dam Square in less than 10 minutes and that the beautiful Vondelpark was just a pleasant 30-minute stroll away, making it super easy to explore the city while enjoying the parks between landmarks.

The narrow, twisting stairs resemble a climb up Everest!!! Having no view from the ground floor with a non-functioning window made the room stifling. An illuminated mirror blinding at night and a strong sewer smell in the bathroom needs addressing!!!

Quirky Charm with a View

The room offered a fine canal view, and the quirky decorations added character. I loved the charming breakfast nook that felt mad really like home.

The check-in process was entirely self-service, and the lack of staff made communication difficult. The stairs were challenging with luggage.

The canal-view room offered an very nice ambiance, complete with a heated bathroom floor and luxurious toiletries. The location was prime, just a five-minute walk from the central station. The absence of a kettle was noticeable, and while the check-in was efficient, the lack of direct interaction felt impersonal. A Nespresso machine did help with coffee options.

I could hear some noise from the street since I was on the ground floor, but it wasn't too distracting. The shower had a strong flow but drained slowly, a bit annoying. A solid stay!

The location is killer, right by the canals and close to tons of tasty spots like Bird Thais Restaurant and Molly Malone's Irish Pub. Plus, the room was comfy enough to recharge after a day of munching through Amsterdam's best bites!
